My trip to Dinard in Britany was an incredible experience!
After a long car ride with my siblings, it was freeing to finally stretch my legs and explore the charming town. We stumbled across a small market filled with antique books, vases and other interesting things. I could have spent hours browsing the shelves and admiring the unique items.
The green and white glass vases in the market were truly a sight to behold. The intricate patterns of the glass were mesmerizing and the vibrant colors captivated my attention. The glass was a beautiful combination of emerald greens and pure browns that complemented each other perfectly. The vases were delicately crafted and each one was unique, and the glass was smooth to the touch. I was captivated by the artistry of the vases and the craftsmanship that went into creating them. The vases were truly a work of art and they added to the charm of the Dinard market.

As we passed by the local restaurants, I already realized they would be the highlight of my trip. We tasted the local cuisine in Britany, mostly seafood dishes, and it was delicious! In every restaurant, the menu was filled with delicious options, from fish and chips to crepes and mussels.

The smell of the sea was so inviting, so we decided to explore it. We walked along the beach, feeling the sand beneath our feet and the salty sea breeze in our hair. The view was breathtaking, with the crystal blue ocean in front of us and the rocky cliffs of Dinard in the background.

The sand was warm and inviting, and I could hear the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. I took a deep breath and the salty sea air filled my lungs. The beach was bustling with people taking advantage of the sunshine. I could see families playing in the sand, children splashing in the shallow waters and couples walking hand in hand. The beach was alive with laughter and joy. The sun was so inviting that I wished I could go for a swim. I stepped into the cool water until it reached my knees, and it was refreshing.
As we wandered through the charming streets of the village, we came across a majestic church that stood tall and proud, an embodiment of the rich history of the village. The candy stores that dotted the cobbled streets were like a dream come true, with an array of colors and flavors that ignited my senses and filled me with joy. The windows were filled with a rainbow of colors, and the scents of sweets and confectionery wafted through the air.
I could hardly contain my excitement as I entered one of the stores. The shelves were lined with bowls filled with every type of candy imaginable, from sugary lollipops and chewy gummies to mouth-watering chocolates and crispy wafers. The candy was arranged in beautiful displays that were both eye-catching and inviting. I sampled a chocolate treat, savoring the sweet flavor that exploded in my mouth. It was soft and chewy, bursting with fruity orange flavors, while the chocolates were rich and indulgent, melting on my tongue. The candy stores in Dinard were a delightful experience, evoking a sense of nostalgia and childlike wonder. It was impossible not to feel a sense of joy and happiness in these stores, as the colors and scents of the candy transported me back to a simpler time. I left the stores with a sense of contentment, ready to continue my journey through the charming village of Dinard.

But it was the old pirate boat that we stumbled upon that truly captured my imagination. As I gazed upon the ship, I felt a sense of adventure stirring within me. I imagined myself on the high seas, battling the enemy. The ship was like a time capsule, transporting me back to a different era, a time of daring exploits, battles at sea, and hidden treasures. The ship was weathered and worn, with deep grooves and lines etched into the wood, testifying to the many years it had spent at sea. It surely was an impressive sight, with its towering masts, tattered sails, and intricate rigging that stretched out like spiderwebs against the sky.

After exploring the charming center of Dinard, my siblings and I decided to buy a bottle of white wine and venture towards the beach. The wind was strong, and I had to hold onto my hair to keep it from flying into my face. As I did so, I noticed how the golden hues of the evening sun made my hair shimmer.

We walked away from the crowds and followed the dam until we stumbled upon what appeared to be a private beach. It was a hidden gem, with few people around, and the peaceful sound of the waves was the only thing that broke the silence. We sat down on the sand, opened the bottle of wine, and relished in the moment.

As we drank wine, we talked and laughed, collecting shells and admiring the beauty of our surroundings. The sky was painted in shades of orange and pink, and the sun slowly descended into the horizon. The waves were gentle, lapping against the shore in a soothing rhythm, and the air was filled with the salty scent of the sea.

It was a moment of pure bliss, a moment where time seemed to stand still. The beauty of the moment filled me with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the simple things in life. It was a moment that I will never forget, one that reminded me of the importance of taking the time to appreciate the beauty of the world around us.

As the sun finally set on the horizon, my siblings and I realized that we had forgotten about dinner. We quickly made our way back to the center of Dinard, in search of a restaurant that could satisfy our hunger. Luckily, we stumbled upon a charming restaurant that was more than happy to make us a delicious dinner of mussels. The aroma of the fresh seafood cooking filled the air, and our mouths watered with anticipation. We sat down and savored every bite of the meal, enjoying the rich flavors of the mussels, cooked to perfection in a savory broth. The atmosphere was cozy, with soft lighting and the sound of chatter filling the room. The meal was the perfect end to a perfect day, and we left the restaurant feeling content and satisfied.

The next day, as we continued our journey towards Brest, we made a stop in the charming town of Tregastel. As soon as we arrived, we were struck by the unique beauty of the beaches, which were quite different from the sandy beaches we had visited in Dinard.

The beaches in Tregastel were characterized by large rocks and boulders that jutted out of the sand, creating a dramatic and rugged landscape. The rocks were adorned with colorful seaweed and sea creatures, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore echoed throughout the area.
​
We spent the afternoon exploring this beach, walking along the rocky shoreline and marveling at the natural beauty of the area. The sun was shining, casting a warm glow on the rocks and illuminating the vibrant colors of the seaweed.
That evening, we were in the mood to go out and explore Brest. However, before we did so, we decided to enjoy the stunning sunset view from the balcony of our Airbnb. As the sun slowly descended below the horizon, we felt a sense of peace and tranquility wash over us.
​
Feeling energized, we cranked up the music and began to dance, moving our bodies to the rhythm of the beat and laughing with each other. The atmosphere was electric, and we quickly found ourselves lost in the moment, caught up in the sheer joy of being together and experiencing the beauty of the moment. We danced and twirled, lost in the music and the laughter, until the sun had almost completely disappeared and the stars had slowly begun to twinkle in the sky.

As we made our way out into the town, the sense of joy and camaraderie that we had experienced during our dance party stayed with us, infusing our night with a sense of magic and possibility. Though we didn't find the club scene that we had been hoping for, we were able to make our own fun and create memories that would last a lifetime.

After some searching, we stumbled upon the coziest bar, filled with warm lighting and inviting decor. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and we ordered delicious fruity cocktails that perfectly complemented the laid-back vibe of the bar.

As we sipped our drinks, we played pool and my brother chatted with the locals, who were more than happy to share stories about the town and their experiences living there. The sense of community and camaraderie was palpable, and we felt grateful to have found such a lovely spot.

The next day, we decided to embark on a leisurely drive in search of a new beach to explore. Without any set destination in mind, we simply let the road guide us, following its twists and turns as we made our way along the stunning coastline.
After a while, we came across the Plage de Saint-Anne, and we knew immediately that we had found something special. The crystal-clear blue water beckoned us, and we spent most of our day basking in the sunshine, lounging on the soft sand, and taking refreshing dips in the cool water.
​
As we explored the area, we were struck by the stunning views that surrounded us, the water shimmering like a work of art behind the trees. We couldn't help but feel as though we were part of some grand cinematic masterpiece, a painting brought to life before our very eyes.
​
We went to see the elegant lighthouse standing tall against the horizon, and as we wandered further along, we discovered old hidden bunkers, each with their own unique stories to tell. We felt a sense of wonder and awe as we explored the hidden nooks and crannies of this magical place, each new discovery filling us with a renewed sense of excitement and adventure.

Our next destination was the stunning coastal town of Crozon, where the waters were even clearer and more pristine than anything we had ever seen before. As we set out to explore the area, we decided to take a walk along the breathtaking coastline of Cap de la Chèvre.

The hike was hot, dangerously so, and we found ourselves rationing our water supply in order to avoid overheating in the blazing sun. Despite the heat, we were determined to press on, drawn by the allure of the cool, inviting waters that beckoned from the rocky cliffs below.
​
As we made our way along the winding path, we were struck by the sheer beauty of the landscape around us. The cliffs rose high above us, their rugged forms etched against the clear blue sky, while the crystal-clear waters below shimmered like a jewel in the bright sunlight.
​
As we approached the halfway point of our hike, we eagerly anticipated the moment when we would finally reach the water's edge and take a refreshing dip in the cool, clear waters. However, to our dismay, we soon discovered that the road downhill was shut down, with high fines in place for anyone attempting to break through.
​
Despite our disappointment, we refused to let the setback spoil our day, and we continued on our hike, taking in the stunning views and reveling in the beauty of this magical place. It was a day filled with adventure, excitement, and the kind of natural beauty that takes your breath away.
We arrived at Camping Les Pieds dans l'Eau, a name that perfectly described its location - right by the water's edge. The campsite was perfect, with comfortable tents featuring separate rooms and mattresses for a good night's sleep. We cooked up a delicious meal on the stove, settling in to chat about our day.​
​
As the night grew darker, my older brother suddenly spoke up, revealing his deep desire to make a fire by the beach. At first, we were hesitant. We weren't sure if it was allowed or safe. We were a little hesitant at first, but his enthusiasm won us over. We saw the wonder in his eyes and realized how much fun it could be. And I'm so glad we decided to go for it. We gathered some wood, set up a safe spot on the beach, and got the fire going.
​
As the flames grew higher, we felt ourselves drawn in by the magic of the moment. The sound of the waves softly crashing against the shore, the cool sea breeze on our faces, and the warmth of the fire all combined to create an atmosphere of complete peace and contentment. It was just the four of us, gathered around the fire, talking and laughing about everything and nothing, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
​
For a few hours, we were lost in our own world, completely absorbed by the beauty of the moment. It was one of those rare times when everything just feels right, and you know that you'll remember it for the rest of your life. We watched as the flames gradually died down, the embers glowing red in the darkness.

On our last day, we took our time to relax at the Plage de Corréjou. I, however, was feeling adventurous and decided to go for a walk. As I walked along the train in the high rocks, I was amazed by the breathtaking scenery that surrounded me.
The hidden stairways leading to bunkers and beautiful views of the water and the beach were all so magnificent. As I continued on, I stumbled upon a big bunker and noticed stairs leading up to another level. Without hesitation, I climbed the stairs and was met with an even more exclusive view. It was as if I had discovered a secret spot, a place where I could be alone and marvel at the beauty of Brittany. This little adventure was the perfect moment that allowed me to reflect on the magical moments that we shared as a family on this trip.
​
As we arrived at the Moulerie du port restaurant, we felt the sea breeze and smelled the salty air. We were excited to indulge in our last mussels of the trip. The restaurant was perfectly situated by the water, which added to the whole experience. As we were savoring our delicious meal, we reminisced about all the wonderful adventures we had on our trip. We talked about the golden beaches, clear blue water, and the amazing hiking we did.
It was bittersweet to know that it was our last night in Crozon, but we were so grateful for the memories we made. As we walked back to our car through the small streets, we couldn't help but admire Crozon for the final time.
Brittany had captured our hearts, and we knew we would never forget our time there. We drove back to Belgium the next day, feeling fulfilled and grateful for such a wonderful trip.
